CSD Pride Parade in Munich on June 24th
Hello friends,
on Saturday, June 24th we’ll be participating in the CSD Munich Pride Parade. We welcome everyone who identifies with us and our values to join us and support queer rights!
You can be there for the lineup right from the start, or join the parade at any time.
Remember to bring sunscreen and water, it’s summer!
We will have a rickshaw, which one can sit in to take a breather and ride a bit.
Lineup
Lineup starts at 11:00, the start of the parade is scheduled for 12:00. You don’t have to be there right at 11:00. The walking groups line up separately from the trucks this year, at the Nockherberg:
Our starting position is 116, which puts us in block C.
There will be portapotty-style restrooms in the lineup area.
Getting there
The best way to get to the lineup is by taking the U1/U2 to Kolumbusplatz, the lineup area is 400m from there. If you’re coming from the east, you can also take the Tram 15/25 to Ostfriedhof. Here’s the map provided by the CSD team:
Route
The parade starts at Mariahilfplatz, goes from there via Reichenbachbrücke and Fraunhoferstraße to Gärtrnerplatz, then Müllerstraße, Blumenstraße and finally the Altstadtring to Maximilianstraße. For the walking groups the end of the parade is at Max-Joseph-Platz. In case too many people are there, we will divert early toward Hofgarten.
During the parade
- please do not bring glass bottles!
- only hand out goodies before or after Reichenbachbrücke, to avoid polluting the Isar river.
- Remember to bring sunscreen and water. We will bring some, but it’s good to have more.
We’re looking forward to seeing you!
