Consent Workshop on August 13th

Hello friends,

We all need to be able to talk about consent and how to build consent culture. Most of us have learned that ’no means no’ and ‘yes means yes’, but consent goes way beyond that.

There is an excellent workshop by the Consent Academy, and in collaboration with CA we have translated it and can now offer it in German!

What is it about?

Join us for a conversation about the foundations of consent, so you can start to practice consent more in your daily life. Participation is very encouraged and your own questions are centered, whether they’re about a first hug, a new relationship, a workplace, or sex.

For whom is it?

For all of us. If you identify with the values of Kitchen Table and want to look more into how we treat each other in everyday life, this is for you.

What language is this workshop in?

This time, it will be in German. We will announce a separate date for the same workshop in English.

How much is it?

The workshop is free.

When and where and how?

  • On Sunday, August 13th.
  • From 15:00 to 17:00.
  • We’ll tell you the venue when you sign up at info@kitchentable.social.
    • Fully wheelchair accessible.
    • Toilets are available.
    • Free softdrinks.
    • Easily reachable by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, or Tram.
  • 2G+: Please be vaccinated against Covid or recovered from it. And do a quick test (self test is okay) on the day you’re coming. If you don’t have a test at home, you can get one from us and do it when you get there. If you need to do that, please come 15 minutes early so you can do the test before the workshop.

We’re looking forward to seeing you!

The Consent Academy is an educational collective founded in 2016 in Seattle, WA, currently with staff and volunteers all over the world. We believe consent is a part of everyday life, and its practice builds stronger, safer, and more connected communities. Our approach incorporates disciplines of psychology, sociology, public health, psychotherapy, and personal coaching to create a systemic view of how consent impacts everyone, from the bedroom to the boardroom.
